The freely accessible space is a gateway and information hub for all those interested in the services of the NLCR.

The study area in the historical premises of the Klementinum’s former summer refectory inspires concentrated study, primarily of printed documents from the NLCR collections published since 1801.

A study space that complements the services of the General Reading Room with a reference library, a quiet reading room, and access to non-printed documents and reprographic services.

A reading room lending Czech and foreign periodicals from the last 5 years since their publication, which are intended for on-site study only. Provides access to selected electronic information resources (e.g. Czech and foreign magazines and journals, digital libraries).

A space for studying the historical collection of the NLCR and conducting research activities in the history of book culture.

A space for studying historical and modern collections of the Music Department of the NLCR and research activities in the field of musicology and the history of musical culture.

Reading room with access to digital libraries and licensed resources. There is an encyclopaedic and reference library, as well as research, reference, and interlibrary loan services.

Specialised study room for access to archival collections.

A reading room for academic users enables intensive study and research with access to digital libraries. There is a reference library focusing on linguistics and literary studies. 

The Individual Study Zone offers facilities for studying your own documents on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Chill Out Zone offers an open space for group work and relaxation.

Team study rooms offer space for private study in larger groups.

A space designed to provide library services.

A space for borrowing and administration accessible to all registered users of the NLCR.

The Self-service return machine allows you to return borrowed books yourself. At selected times, the return machine can also be used when the Main Hall is closed.

Users and visitors of the National Library store their outerwear and luggage in the cloakroom or in lockers in the cloakroom area.
