A study space that complements the services of the General Reading Room with a reference library, a quiet reading room, and access to non-printed documents and reprographic services.

The Social and Natural Sciences Reading Room is open to all registered users with a valid NLCR library card or visitors with a one-day access pass. The back room of the Reading Room is a quiet zone.

The reference library has approximately 10,000 library units of reference literature, encyclopaedias, compendia, basic Czech and foreign monographs. The books are arranged according to the Social and Natural Sciences Reading Room Systematic Classification.

The reading room offers a 14-day reservation and on-site access to non-printed documents - micro documents, electronic documents, audio documents, and video recordings. Reservations can be renewed repeatedly unless another user requests a unit.

The reading room provides reprographic services, both self-service and upon request

It provides access to the Internet (time limited to 1 hour), to the databases of the NLCR and to digital libraries, especially to the full content of the National Digital Library. Printing is possible from the computers in the Reading Room. A scanning tent is also available in the Reading Room.
