Collections Management
Administers and permanently preserves the NLCR's modern book collections.
Periodicals
Acquisition and cataloguing of periodical publications published in the Czech Republic, which are acquired by the NLCR by legal deposit, donation, exchange, or purchase. Provides access to selected foreign journals and newspapers or electronic information sources.
Reference and ILL Services
Provides reference, reprographic, and interlibrary services; makes electronic information resources available. It is also the national centre for interlibrary services in the Czech Republic.
Reading Rooms
Provides on-site access to printed and non-printed documents published since 1801, digital libraries, and the Internet. Provides reprographic services.
Reader Services
Responsible for registration of users and receipt and issue of off-site loans. Provides basic advisory and information services. It permits non-registered users access to digital libraries and offers space for short-term study.
Public Services
Provides comprehensive public library and information services to library users and is the national centre for interlibrary services in the Czech Republic.
Retrospective Conversion
Provides retrospective conversion of the catalogues of the NLCR and other libraries.

Builds and administers the National Union Catalogue of the Czech Republic.
